My main browser is firefox, but I do use IE6 now and then.
The trouble I am having with IE6 is it is very slow to open and when I open
a local html file I get this message (screen shot of message):

The file will still open up though.
FYI: windows xp sp2, fully patched. Zone alarm security suite 6.1.744. Spy
sweeper 4.5.7.
I have also tried a whole raft of things to try and sort it out.
P.S I did try IE7 (bete 2) which had to be removed due to it stopping some
things on my computer (adobe updater program).
Any help would be great.
