Problems with folder security

Hello,

I have two partitions, C and D both NTFS. At one time, I was able to write
to my Program Files that resides on D. However, since I joined this computer
to the domain (Small Business Windows 2003 Server), I have not been able to
write to the Program Files directory. I can write to the root of D and to
other directories but not to Program Files.

I am running Windows XP Pr0, SP 2. I checked permissions and nothing seems
to work. I thought it was my password because I changed it but I reset back
to no password and still nothing.

The message that I get when I try to write to this diectory is - Unable to
create "New Folder". Access denied.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

Since you are probably now logging into a domain, and not your local
workstation, your domain account would need to be added to the local
Administrators group to do this. You should probably speak to whomever
manages the domain about this (presuming that isn't you).

I have done that and I tried logging into just the computer to see if that
makes a difference. I even remove the computer from the domain but no change.

I am not sure what caused this, two things changed, I changed my password
and I joined the domain. So I removed the computer from the domain and reset
the password back to the original password to see if this would allow me to
access the folder but nothing has changed.

I cannot modify the security permissions on this folder as administrator or
the user. When I checked the permissions on this folder, Administrator has
full control but as the administrator, I can not modify or write to this
folder.

Event log errors?
Checked the Ownership of the parent folder?
