Problems with exporting and importing .pst files

OK I'm sure there is an easy explaination to this issue. I am a Outlook 2003
user on my old Sony Vaio laptop. I connect to my ISP's pop3 and smtp servers
to get my email so I use a local .pst file. I just bought a new laptop and
want to get my old email imported. So on my old laptop I opened Outlook and
exported my email to a new .pst file and burned it to a CD. Setup my new
email account on my new laptop and chose to import my old .pst file. "Access
Denied". Apparently I do not have access or permissions to import this file
although I used the same account to export and import. Can you help me out?
Thanks.

Its because burning to CD marks the pst as Read only - copy to hard drive
and go into the properties of the pst and remove the Read Only tag

Never export or import a PST. You will lose data. The correct approach can
be found here:
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm
So on
my old laptop I opened Outlook and exported my email to a new .pst
file and burned it to a CD. Setup my new email account on my new
laptop and chose to import my old .pst file. "Access Denied".

COpy the PST to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute. Then
use File>Open>Outlook Data File in Outlook to open it.
