problems with defragmentation

Hi,
'...about 30 minutes..."?
What are your machine's specifications?
you disable antivirus/firwall what ever may be running in the background
before strating the disk defragmentation.
Analyze volumes before defragmenting them. After analyzing a volume, a
dialog box tells you the percentage of fragmented files and folders on
the volume and recommends whether to defragment the volume.
A volume must have at least 15% free space for Disk Defragmenter to
completely and adequately defragment it.If a volume has less than 15%
free space, Disk Defragmenter will only partially defragment it. To
increase the free space on a volume, delete unneeded files or move them
to another disk.
If there is still problem then you must chkdsk the volume to know if
there is anything wrong there. In that case to fix errors, you must
include the /f parameter.

I start up my pc. Then, about 30 minutes after I have
logged on to windows, my computer becomes very slow, so
then I press Ctrl+Alt+del and I can see that the DFRGNTFS
is using about 98% of my computer's memory. I know that
it is the disk defragmenter because when I opened it a
message appeared that said that I could not defragment my
disk with 2 applications at the same time. Now when I
click on end process it does not do anything. I can't
work with my computer like this. I have already done a
lot of virus scans and no virus appears. What can I do?
Please help.
