Problems with cd's and dvd's driver

I have a problem with the cd and dvd of a computer.

I've looked on hardware an it tell me:

Can you give any advice? I've tried what Microsoft advice me

Go to www.dougknox.com WinXPFixes Rt Column 11 down. "Restore
Dvd/CD drives to Explorer" Download that fix and it should help.
