Problems with cable modem

Does anyone know why I would have to disable then enable
my LAN connection in order to connect to the internet. I
do not have any firewall on the system. I have checked on
Windows firewall and it is not on. I have all the updates
to Windows XP. Still this does no good. HELP!!!!!!

Could you give us more details on your setup?

Do you have to run any utilities or set up any PPPoE settings on your
Windows PC ?
