Problems with alignment in comments

E

I have been using the insert comment option to edit documents in Word 2003
and 2007 and have come up against a significant challenge. My comments have
ended up somehow automatically RIGHT justifying within the comment bubble -
normally, in US Word, the justification for these would be on the left. Has
anyone experienced this and do you have a solution? I've tried
troubleshooting this in a variety of ways and nothing has helped. Any
suggestions most welcome!

Check the formatting of both Balloon Text and Comment Text styles.

Go to the style called Comment Text or Balloon Text, right-click,
Modify, and click the left-align icon on the panel.

To find the style listing, open the Styles panel (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S),
click Options in the lower right, then "All Styles" in the dropdown,
then OK. (You'll probably want to revert that back to "In Use" after
you make the above change!)
