My access 2003 options are set to use the 2000 format. I have a db
(.mdb) file that won't work on any local systems that are running
Access 2000 under Windows XP. XP is up to date with all updates
(including the jet 4). Office 2000 is up to SP1-a. We can't get it to
go to SP3 for obscure reasons (it doesn't like the network data file,
even on machines that were installed from that network location!?)
Anyway, when I try to open my file, I get this message: "This database
is in an unrecognized format. The database may have been created with a
later version of Microsoft Access (duh!) than the one you are using.
Upgrade your version of Microsoft Access to the current one, then open
this database.
I can't find any references anywhere to this message, nor can I figure
out what to do next.
Help, help!
