When you open the Explorer view, I found two ways to go to your users folders
1) Desktop/<UserAccount>
2) Computer/Harddisk_C:/Users/<UserAccount>
I assume that both methods should point to the same physical folder.
As I want to change my personal picture and document folder to harddrive D:,
I did the following:
I changed the Path with method 1) under the desktop for my picture folder
from c:\users\<UserAccount>\pictures to d:\pictures
Everything worked so far. When I clicked on the new link, the folder on
drive D:\pictures was opend.
Now the problem.....
When I use the method 2) Computer/Harddisk_C:/Users/<UserAccount> the
picture folder still points to the default vista settings
c:\users\<UserAccount>\pictures !!!!
For my other folders, as music, documents I did the same. I'm able to open
the folders when I use method 1) via DESKTOP/useraccount/....
However, those folders are not available anymore, when I open the folder
c:\users\<UserAccount>\ !!
I checked this with my colleague on a different VISTA version (home
premium), while I'm running the ULTIMATE version.
It seems something doesn't work properly, when a folder path is customized.
I hope this is not to confusing....and sorry for the bad english
