Steve, or Andy, or whichever persona you're using today.
I've read the entire thread. John said nothing that can remotely be
perceived as a lie. His first post in the thread was:
Nice job in cancelling the good will you created in the message he
replied to.
These newsgroups were provided by Microsoft for free peer to peer
support, not as a means for you to make money. These newsgroups are
filled with better qualified Access developers, who have the
professionalism to respect the spirit of these newsgroups.
I'll acknowledge that the first sentence was only an assumption on John's
part that you had cancelled the good. Even though Paul indicated that he
was not offended by your post, that does not make John's assumption "a
lie".
The next sentence (that "These newsgroups were provided by Microsoft for
free peer to peer support, not as a means for you to make money") is
absolutely correct (and the source of so much antipathy towards you)
While saying that "These newsgroups are filled with better qualified
Access developers" cannot be be quantified, again it cannot be called "a
lie" either.
His next post was
You should reread your own message, your name is missing.
which is, of course, absolutely correct (unless your real name is "PC
Database", which we know it isn't)
In his third post, he said
I did, but he was taking you at your word. You said your name was on the
post and he believed you. The only name in your post was Paul's. So since
you can not dispute the facts, you choose to insult?
So should I add this to the long list of apologies you will never make?
Again, no lies there.
He then asked
to which you have posted no answer.
Finally, he posted:
I have never said I deserved to be a MVP. Can you post a link proving
otherwise? So I can add this to the list of times you have libelled me?
If you ask most of the Access MVPs, you will find that they also do not
believe they deserve the MVP awards. They help in the Access community
because they want to, not to get an award. The benefits of the MVP award
are insignificant compared to the effort that was being recognized.
The MVP award is just recognition from Microsoft that Microsoft
appreciate the help these individuals have done in their communities
assisting users over the past year.
which I don't see as containing any falsehoods.
What "lie" did John allegedly get caught in?

Doug,
You didn't bother to read Paul Schrum's post, my post to him and
Marshall's posts!!!
John Marshall knew he had been caught in a lie!
Steve
In the thread labelled "Progression Bar", you wrote the following to
rkc:
"You think your [sic] a big man but you can't even answer the question
posed to you!!"
In this thread, you accused John of being "a venomous boldface liar",
but when he politely asked you what lie he had written, you didn't
answer the question.
Shouldn't you abide by the same rules you expect others to?
And in case you're going to try and say that the reason you accused John
of lying is because his signature says that he's an MVP, and you don't
feel he deserves that title, be aware that Microsoft decides who the
MVPs are, and they have decided (yet again) that he "deserve(s) the
title of MVP"

That you deserve the title of MVP!!!!
And the lie is?
John... Visio MVP
You're not only a venomous jerk, you're also a venomous boldface
liar. You're a disgrace to all MVPs!!!!
