Problems Typing

hi,
I am trying to type in word and excel but nothing is showing up. I keep
seeing a message to the bottom of the page in word that says "modification
cannot be done because the selection is locked" what do i have to do to fix
this problem? Probably some keys were pressed in error to cause this but how
do i undo it?

Either you have not activated your copy of Office or it is a trial version
that has expired.

i have the same problem as leandra and

:its not expired and i have activated my copy
so whats wrong??????? im am low tech
