Hell I am hoping I can find someone who can help me with
this problem. When I wanted to turn off my PC I would go
the the Start menu, then go to Turn off Computer and now
when i do that all that happens is that the computer re-
starts itself and I have to turn off the computer from
the Power button. I would like to be able to go to the
start and have the pc turn off the way it use to. I can
be reached at my email: (e-mail address removed)

I would welcome all help

Hello!
By default, XP executes an automatic restart in the event of a system
failure. Therefore, more or less anything compromising the operating
system during the shutdown process could force this reboot. Disabling
the restart on system failure feature may permit the exact cause to be
isolated: Right-click on My Computer, click Properties, click the
Advanced tab. Under Startup & Recovery, click Settings. Under System
Failure, uncheck the box in front of System reboot.
