I have a problem that developed after I had Norton Antivirus delete some
files that were a possible threat, according to the software. Since I did
that, when attempting to open MS Outlook I get two warning Outlook errors:
The first one is a message that "The add-in program c:\Program files\ \ \
\SBOLExt.dll could not be installed or loaded. The problem may be resolved
by using Detect and Repair on the Help Menu. You may be out of memory, memory
resources or missing a .dll file".
The only choice is "OK". When I click that, I get a second message that
reads exactly like the first one except the the file missing is called
"Redemption.dll".
Outlook generally loads OK after clicking on the "OK" button of the message.
I do, however have some issues with the software, like occasional hangups.
I have removed and reloaded Microsoft Office 2000, where Outlook is
resident, and the error messages keep popping up when I open Outlook.
Has anybody experienced something similar?
