Problems seeing some web pages

When I try to view some posts at MrExcel.com I see some script. Here part of
what I see:

A long time ago symptoms such as this were attributed to
a certain software firewall.

You haven't disclosed even your OS so it is difficult giving any advice;
however if your OS is NTx make sure that you have some kind of port
protection before connecting to the Internet. Activating XP's built-in firewall
would be sufficient to allow you to try disabling another one as a test.
