Problems regarding installing Outlook 2007 with MS Office suite 20

I want to load a stand along version of Outlook 2007 to my computer. My
operating system is XP and I currently have Outlook Express 2003 (which I
have no problem deleteing) & Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 on the
computer. I've read there are compatability problems and that attempting to
load Outlook 2007 will cause problems with the other, older MS products. Can
anyone tell me if this is true? I don't want to load Outlook 2007 if it's
going to cause me any problems with software I already have (and absolutely
have to have in working order).

There is no Outlook Express 2003, there is Outlook 2003
You cannot install Outlook 2007 if any other version of Outlook is
installed.
Outlook 2007 cannot use Word 2003 as the default editor

In addition to DL and to answer your direct question;
Yes, you can run Outlook 2007 with Office 2003 side-by-side without issues.
That said, there will be some limitations to the Office 2003 applications
which will require Outlook integration and there will be some functionality
not available in Outlook 2007 as that will only work when you install an
Office 2007 suite that includes Outlook 2007 as well. However, most of these
limitations are quite minor and can be worked around if needed.
