Alan

For the past several weeks we have had problems booting
our HP WinXP system. It goes part way through the boot
cycle, we see the HP Invent screen, then it goes blank.
After up to 5 to 10 attempts to boot it succeeds. In the
event viewer I get a Warning about DHCP and an Error with
a service starting up - mrtrate. Not sure if these have
anything to do with the problem. Any help would be
appreciated

Hello,

I did a little research on Google and found that mrtrate
is a library file used with Quicken. To solve this
problem, find whatever application is trying to load this
file and reinstall that program. Or you can download the
file from many websites that I searched on Google.
