Problems Publishing in Frontpage

my parents have a business website that they were able to update and tinker
with through frontpage. As it was described to me -- they would open up the
page they were working on in frontpage, make the changes, and then hit save.
this in turn would implement the changes on their website which is being
hosted by an outside company.

here is my problem -- there computer had a run.dll error and had to be
reformatted. now i am trying to set up frontpage to duplicate the prior
settings to allow them to continue updating their website as they previously
had done.

I have imported the webpages from their site that they need to have access
to inorder to make changes aka: whats new page, homepage, etc.

but i dont understand how i can set frontpage up to accept changes on the
server to individual webpages by just saving the webpage in frontpage.

by the way ive also tried publishing selected page back to the server but
the changes ive done to the webpages havent shown up

ive not encountered a password or username problem as they have worked
inorder to allow me to access the site and dl content.

any help would be great! as my parents webmaster has "jumped ship" and even
with my basic knowledge of webpage design i am to the point of being lost!

They were opening the online website live in FP and making the changes
directly on the server.

ok -- i got what your saying -- what settings changes do i have to make in
order to run the website live?

You don't make any setting changes. You just go to the File menu, select
"Open Web" and type in the full URL of the web site, e.g.
"http://somesite.com"
