Since installing XPSP2 our users are no longer able to opening an
application that is started by a .hta link on a web page:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Microsoft%20Class%20Server/Client/Web/Client/TeacherClient/TeacherClient.hta
The web page is in the local intranet zone. Clicking on the link does
*nothing*, no warning, no alert, nothing! Copying the link and pasting it
into the address bar of the browser causes that app to start as expected so
we know the link is ok.
Under pre-sp2 the user go an 'are you sure' type message when opening the
app...now they get nothing.
How can we configure IE and/or XP SP2 to allow an hta to start from the the
local intranet zone?
NB I *have* read the technet thing:
Changes to Functionality in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
Part 5: Enhanced Browsing Security
and none of it works for us
