I have Windows 2000, and usually when i started up the computer you didnt
need to type in a username and password. After i did a scandisk it asked for
my password with the username : administrator i dont know the password,
and i dont know how to sign in as guest. if someone could help me out that'd
be great. also if you know what to do, how do i make it so i never need a
password or username again.

I can't recall exactly where the option is setup, in the control panel
somewhere. There is a line that reads "Users require a username and
password to logon to this machine" Or something close to that. Sorry I
can't pinpoint the location, but I don't have any windows based PC's at
home.
