If someone could tell me what's up I'd be grateful
I have a Tiny 2600XP which has been a nightmare since we bought it in October.Suffice to say the machine has been replaced and seems to be working fine except.......When we tried to use Word last night a message kept popping up saying"Error 1311 source file not found ( E:\MSWord\OFFICE1.CAB.)check that the file exists and that you can access it"
I've tried everything including downloading the entire works suite and re-loading it (including a clean re-boot)and doing a system restore but to no avail.Help!!!!!!!

Hi Steve.

This problem is caused by a policy in Windows which does not allow you
access to the CD

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325076

Otherwise try disabling the Policy

Steps to disable the policy:
1) Select Start/Run
2) Type MMC
3) Select File / Add/Remove Snap-in
4) Select Add from the Standalone tab
5) Select Group Policy
a. Local Computer will be displayed as the default policy
6) Select Finish
7) Select Close
8) Select O.K. to close the dialog
9) Browse to Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Windows
Settings /
Security Settings / Security Options
a. Open the Device: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged on user-only
b. Ensure the policy is disabled.
