Access Problems loading "External Data" in Access.

I am for the first time getting an error when I try to import an Excel file from the "External Data" tab in Access 2007-2010.
A box pops up from the "import Spreadsheet Wizard that says "There is no object in this Control"

When I click "OK" it tries to go to the import panel that is all blank

When I click "Next" here is what I get:

I have used this process for the past 7 years and never had any problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions?!?!
