Problems installing XP on a new puter

I am trying to install the XP upgrade version on a new computer.Things seemed
to be going OK until the program required me to insert a CD with SP1.I
couldn't find a way to copy it from the Microsoft site without using Windows
update.My existing old computer has Win98se and won't allow me to download XP
Sp1. Also because I'm installing the upgrade version I had to insert my Win98
CD. At what point do I remove the 98 CD and reinsert the XP CD?

Re insert your Windows XP Upgrade CD anytime it requests for Windows XP CD
or SP1 CD or pretty much anything.
