Problems installing Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 Update 6

HI,

When trying to install Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 Update 6, a pop
up message appears saying "Istall ActiveX Control". When I click on the
Install buton for the Active Xcontrol, a new error message appears that says
"The installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Proxy settings. Can
anybody help?

I'm running Windows XP Professional SP2

Are you trying to install directly from the web? If so, use the manual
download instead. Save the file to your hard drive and then run the
installer from there. You should first uninstall any previous versions
of Java from Add/Remove Programs.
