Problems installing ATI Radeon 9250 PCI card

I uninstalled my display adapter, unplugged the PC, connected the monitor to
the new video card, and booted up. My monitor immediately goes into sleep
mode. What have I done wrong? (I followed the installation instructions
included in the user manual forthe new card)

I'm running on a P4 3.0GhZ w/ 512RAM. My previous graphics controller was
intel 82915 P/V/GV.

Perhaps you need to disable the onboard graphics in the bios, check you
motherboard manual and see if it has any instructions.
Or post the make & model of your motherboard.
