Radeon 9250 keeps installing

Dear Group:
Here's an overview of my setup:
Win2000 Service Pack 4
AMD Athlon 64 2800+

I have a ATI Radeon 9250 video card(PCI) and had it in my computer.
Well, my system also had a listing (in the Display Properties and System
Manager) for an "ATI Radeon 9250(Secondary)". I didn't quite
bother/understand why but then I added a Matrox G400+ card to put in a
separate monitor. Now, everytime I delete/uninstall the "Secondary"
(there isn't a second ATI 9250 card), on reboot, the computer "finds"
New Hardware and prompts me to reboot. I don't but it's getting tiresome
deleting the card (that doesn't exist!)

Any pointers/tips on how to stop this?

Thanks,
Carl

The Radeon 9250 has dual display controllers -- you can drive two
monitors with the single card. In your hardware devices a primary
(probably not marked as such) and a secondary device will appear. If
you don't want to use the second monitor with that card, don't, but
leave the item in the device manager.
