Problems in installing a patch

System:Windows XP Service Pack 2
There is a problem:No matter how I do,either use Windowsupdate or
download KB834707 manually,I cannot install the patch.After I agreed the
EULA,the patch tells me:The system cannot find the specified path.WHY???

Could be a bad file. Try the December patch which should also contain
the October one because it's 'cumulative'.
