Problems deleting a network bridge

When I try to delete a Network Bridge (by right clicking,
selecting DELETE, then YES to "Are you sure you want to
delete 'Network Bridge (Network Bridge)'?"... I get the
error: An unexpected error occurred while configuring
the Network Bridge.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

First, remove all member adapters from the Network Bridge using the Network
Bridge property sheet.

Second, select Run from the Start Menu, type "devmgmt.msc", and select OK.
When the Device Manager appears, right-click the MAC Bridge Miniport under
the Network Adapters category and select Uninstall. Select OK to confirm
device removal.
