problems creating proper formatting in signature

I'm trying to write a new signature using Word in Advanced Edit, and it
is turning into a nightmare.
I write it, select the fonts, etc. and save it.
When I test it by sending an email to myself, the signature comes in
with a different spacing between lines 1 and 2, etc.
I looked in the styles used, and everything else I cd think of, iand it
all looks fine in Word during edit process.
Yet, this line spacing problem continues.
It's getting so ridiculously long to create a proper signature, that it
doesn't make sense to me....
Any suggestions or comments that cd help?
Tx.

try shift+enter between lines to get single spacing and enter if you want
double spacing.

I did but does not help.
It's not double spacing, it's more like using a 8 pt font on 1 line and
a 10 pt on the next--even though all the fonts are same and 8 pts.

Then you should have said it was different font sizes, not line spacing
problems...

Does it work right if you use the basic signature editor? What fonts and
styles are you trying to use that you need the advanced editor? Keep in mind
that your are limited in the sizes and effects HTML formatting support and
need to keep it fairly simple. .

there is a problem of conflicting styles, I think.
how can i completely delete a custom style i added to template (I
imagine "normal.doc") so it does not re-appear?

I GOT the stupid thing.
It's because of the No 100 I was using in the address using the "0" as
Superscript and that was adding space between that line and the line
above it--to make room for the Superscript.
I got rid of the Superscript just using No 100 instead.
And done.

I still would love to get the answer to my previous post re. deleting
styles, if u dt mind.
