Problems Copying Graphs from Excel to Word

When trying to copy graphs from excel to word the percentage values re-align
and I have trouble repositioning them. Also, when I try to manually make the
graph in word smaller all that is inside the graph turns blank.
I had to go back and use a office 97 and copy everything in there and then
reopen the file in the 2007 version in the compatability mode.
Is there anything else that I could do so that the alignment doesn't change
or so that I can make a 2003 compatible file?

You should state right at the top what version you are using, now that we're
being flooded with Office 2007 related posts.

I haven't tested Excel-to-Word copying of charts yet in Office 2007.
However, I've seen other immature (i.e., not yet optimized) behavior
surrounding charts in Office 2007.

Does it work the way you expect in versions after 97 and before 2007?

Sorry about forgetting specifying which version I used at the top. My mistake.
I used 2003 at another place and did not have any problems with 2003.

Even when I tried to first save the document as a 97-2003 document and then
work ahead and copy it, it did not work out. It would change the chart/graph
from the way it looked in excel to the way it looked in the word document.
I also found it very difficult to realign the percentage value of chart when
it overlapped with the heading of a graph (sometimes impossible as the
heading cannot be moved outside the chartbox).
