Hi,
I have a Toshiba laptop running Vista Home Premium. I have an Intel(R)
Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
Until a week ago, everything was working fine. I was able to connect to the
internet at home using cable broadband, and I was also able to connect to
Wireless hotspots out and about with no problems. But now, I can't connect to
any Wireless networks. The computer sees the network and connects to it, but
then I get the message "limited or no connectivity" and I can't get on the
internet.
I've seen quite a few similar problems mentioned here, but none of the
situations seem quite the same, as I don't have my own wireless router but I
am trying to connect to public hotspots. I have installed some Windows
updates recently, but I don't know exactly when the problem started, so I
can't tell if that might have caused a problem.
I don't know whether it's connected, but I'm aslo now not able to run
Network Diagnostics. This used to work, but now I get an error message saying
the dependency service or group failed to start. When I try to start it in
Service Control Manager, I get a message saying "Error 5: access is denied."
I am the only user of the computer, and my account is an administrator
account.
Any suggestions would be welcome!
