Problems changing e-mail address

I have one user (out of 5) who has occasional problems
changing e-mail addresses in Outlook 2002. We are all
running Windows 2000 Profesional and have Office XP
Professional. All updates and patches for Win2K and
OfficeXP have been applied. On this one user's computer,
when you try to change an e-mail, it looks like it saves
but does not. When you go back in or try to send New
Message to Contact, the old address comes back. I've seen
it happen twice. The first time was several months ago,
the last time was just today. She had three copies of the
individual in her contact list, one for each e-mail
address she has for him. I wound up deleting all three
and creating a new contact from scratch with 3 e-mail
addresses. Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, she usually sends e-mail by selecting a contact and
clicking the New Message to Contact button. Now that
there is only one contact, all three e-mail addresses pop
up in the To: field of the e-mail, but she only wants to
send to one address. Sending e-mail this way, is there
any way to select only one of the addresses. It is rather
annoying to have to delete two of the e-mail addresses
each time she sends an e-mail. Or do we need to go back
to having multiple contacts for multiple e-mail addresses?

Thank you for your time.

Yes, when you starting "typing" their name it remembers
there old address - so when you starting typing their
name and outlook shows you the match - highlight it and
hit delete.

Also, when you type in their new e-mail address in the
address field tab down to the "display as" and empty the
field completely - then tab out of the field and it will
populate it with the NEW address - if you don't the
display as will show the old address forever.
