Problems browising for users/groups on Trusted Win2K3 domain from

Hi guys we have been asked to create a trust between a Win2K3 domain and our
production Win2K domain (two way). Although the trust seems to be working
fine, and am able to browse for users/groups on the Win2K3 domain from one of
my Win2K prod domain controllers, I am unable to browse users on this trusted
domain from my Win2K domain member servers. I keep getting "Cannot display
objects from this location because of the following error" -- The server is
not operational. Am I missing something here. Please advise. Thanks.

This could be settings with the more stringent security 2003 has than 2000 .
Read the last section of the link below which will detail the settings
needed for browsing a 2003 domain from an NT4 domain. The tighter security
will be similar and the settings are the same (Except for the LM settinngs).
There is also a link to a trouble shooting doc as well.

Paul, thanks for the information. I was wondering whether the cause is
security settings in Windows 2003. At first I discovered that my Win2K3
domain's DNS was corrupted or mis-configured. I demoted the server and
removed DNS and started over again. I re-created the domain and the DNS
settings are fine and again was able to create the trust, but unfortunately I
am still NOT able to browse for services from my member servers. I will look
at this technote and see if it helps the cause..

Regards

Terry
