Problems backing up system

I have trying to back up my system using the the "Backup
Utiliy" and "Backup Utilty Wizard"i get to the point
where i am asked to put in a file name. I simply put in
the date, and i get amessage saying "The backup filename
could not be used. Please ensure you have it is a vaild
path, and that you have sufficent access." Is there
something I am not doing that is causing this error?
 
Michelle, on that same Backup Wizard screen you have to enter something in
the window that asks "Choose a place to save your backup", what do you have
selected there?
 
If you are trying to backup to a CD burner it will not
work. Has to be another hard drive, tape or network
 
Or floppies (yeah, right). :-) When I used it, I wrote the .bkf to a 2nd HDD.
