problems at start up

ok guys... when i boot up my computer with xp it gives me
a blue screen saying a problem has been dectected and
windows has been shut down to prevent damage.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

check to make sure any new hardware or software is
properly installed. .....
