Problems after upgrade from Home to Pro

I'm cleaning up after the upgrade.

Boot takes at least twice what it did in Home.

I get what appear to be desktop refreshes happening fairly frequently.

My Palm Desktop fails (not asking to debug Palm; just want to know what
would be different between the two OS that would cause it to cresh). The
"more info" indicates that the "file doesn't have a program associated with
it for performing this action" and then referrs to Folder Options.

Activation fails with a fatal error in MSFT Out of Box. This may be because
the popup goes away before my network is enabled so if I click to activate it
may be failing because no internet connection is yet available.

I'm assume these are fairly common situations when surgery is performed on
the OS.

Anyone else see these symptoms who might have worked through them.

Just an edit...

I also can't get Start>Help and Support to work. It looks like it's trying
to start (hour glass) but returns to the arrow pointer after a few seconds.

Do you have Anti-virus installed on this machine or you are connected
without Protection?.

NAV is fully functional. Ran a full scan last night with no warnings at all.
