Installed Net Framework because it's required to install Drive Image 7. It
totally messed up my user accounts. asking me to log on whereas I had
previously been able to boot straight to Windows without user name or
password. Using "control userpasswords2" in the Run box I tried to retrieve
my prevous settings but apparently deleted a user account, there was another
one there called something like ASPINET which I didn't create. Now it will
only boot to Administrator account and I have lost files saved to Desktop,
e-mails, dial up settings, newsgroup settings etc. Took me a while to get
OE working again so that I could post this request for help. Tried System
Restore which told me there were no restore points set! Main question is
can I retrieve the lost user account and how? If not where are all the
files, settings etc. which were in that account, are they lost for good?
Also, on a different partition from OS, installed Easy Recovery Pro and ran
it but it told me there were no recoverable files.
Finally why is this Net Framework needed at all and why does it *mess
everything up?

*Not really the word I felt like using!

If you go into the Folder 'Documents and Settings' , there
should be a folder in there with the name of the account
that was lost.

There are a few ways to take ownership of it. Easiest
might me to rename it. Then recreate the account the lost
account. This will recreate the folder that you just
renamed. At this point copy the renamed folder, into the
newly created folder.
