problems after downloading yahoo messenger

I recently downloaded yahoo messenger and ever since I can only open one
internet explorer window at a time. If I click on file and tell it to open a
new window it now closes the original one I had open. This also happens when
I click on a link in an email. No matter what I do it will only allow one
window open at a time. Has anyone else experienced this and do you have a
solution?

Try going to your IE toolbar, Tools>Internet Options>advance tab> and remove
the mark that is next to 'reuse windows for launching shortcuts' then hit
okay.
