Problems accessing web site with same name as computer domain

I have a W2K - SP4 - domain with the domain is the same as a our website
which is hosted by an outside entity.

When I go to IE and type in that name I get this page can not be found....,
If I enter the IP addr. of the web site I can display it.

This only happens when I try to access this web page from the computer
domain workstations where the domain is the same as the web site.

Any ideas? Do I have to make some entries into the DNS config in the domain
computer?

Make a WWW entry for your website in your internal DNS server with the ip
address of the website. This is one of the issues that arise from having
your Internal domain name the same a your real domain name.
