I have a unique problem. The other day I was fiddling with some
administrator setting and changed one of the users from power user to a
guest user. Now all the documents that have been saved under that user have
disappeared. How do I get them back?

Have a look at this post in this newsgroup. It seems
to describe your problem:

"User profile directory is deleted after user logoff"

Your best bet is probably to retrieve the files from
backup. Users should be strongly discouraged from
saving files to their desktop.

By the way, if you can think of a more meaningful
Subject line than "Problem" then you're far more
likely to attract the attention of those who might
have a solution for your problem.
