Problem Writing Files to CD

In XP pro I can't seem to write files to my Creative Labs CD-RW using the
wizard in My Computer. The drive is OK I think because I can copy a CD using
Nero -- both music and data. The XP system does not seem to see the
CD/drive, or it completes the write process "successfully", but there is
nothing on the CD when I check it. I've tried a range of speeds down to 2X.
Could there be some type of conflict between the XP system and the Nero
program? Any help appreciated.

Why bother using it anyway? If you have Nero, especially 6.0.0.23, use it -
a beautiful program.
The same as I wouldn't use the inbuilt XP defrag, but went for the full
version, Diskeeper Pro.
