Problem writing files to CD-RW

I'm trying to write some files onto my CD-RW disc, but this error message
keeps popping up:

"Windows is currently using the CD. Please wait before starting the CD
Writing Wizard."

I just don't get how Windows is using the CD, it's not like I chose any
options but "Write these files to CD." So what else could they be being used
for? Earlier when writing files, I had no problems with this. So I'm
wondering what caused this problem and how to fix it.

Do you have a 3rd party CD burning program? Disable it before trying to use
the inbuilt XP CD burning utility.
