Problem with XP Pro on Win98SE Peer to Peer

P

Peter Withey

Where I work we have a small peer to peer Win98SE
network. All computers can access the disks of the
other. Last week we introduced a new computer to the
network running XP Pro. The XP Pro machine can see all of
the other computers. However when you try to access them
you get an error message something to the extent
of "//machine/ can't find path or you may not have
permissions" or something like this. Any suggestions as
to what may be wrong? All machines are hooked to a cable
router and then a cable modem. The XP machine accesses
the NET just fine. However it can't access the disks on
the 98SE machines. Thanks for any suggestions.
