In normal mode I cannot access internet,"this page cannot be
displayed"appears. I have checked settings in internet options.Norton
accesses updates with no problem and e mail works but Internet Explorer only
works in safe mode. Norton Internet security doesn't see a problem,Spybot
doesn't eitherand both of those programs have no trouble updating themselves.

Hi

Do you get the error message with all web sites? Norton could be your
problem.

Adjust your security settings to suit.
Also, next to it, double click on it & you can get a Privacy Report.

Shut down Norton Internet Security completely (Right-click on the icon
in the System Tray). Also turn off the "Tea Timer" option in Spybot
if you have it active.

Can you now access the Internet?

Good luck
