Problem with Windows Installer

Every time I try to install something with Windows
Installer

A CAB file required for this installation is corrupt and
cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an
error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this
package.
Cancel Retry Ignore

Retry gives me the same error, and ignore gives
me "Internal Error 2350", then the installation is
cancelled.

Can I do anything about this short of reinstalling?

It didn't help. I still get the same message about the
CAB file, then it closes the install.
