Problem with Win95 and winXP in a workgroup

Greatings.
I have a simple network with a pc that has win95 and the other pc with
winxp. I've configured it to a workgroup with a static ip. The pc with Winxp
can open the shares thats shared by the pc with win95. But cant do the same
from win95 to winxp. it gives me an error 31..the windows are in portuguese.
Although from the win95 i can ping to winxp. I have checked the permissions
and configurations all seems to be ok.
Any1 got any ideas?
