Problem with USB recogniton!

Hello all, Ive been having this problem since I did a
windows over the old installation I had on the box, no
clean install. Plug and play only detects new devices
after each reboot, not when I plug them in. For example,
if I want to put a song on my mp3 player, I need to plug
it in, then reboot the machine in order for it to be
recognized rather than Plug n play recognizing it.. Im
not sure what to do but it is frustrating and any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Josh, make sure that Plug and Play Service is enabled and set on Auto in
Services. Control Panel>AdminTools>Services. But, Universal
Plug and Play should be disabled.

Thanks Rich, still no luck with that.. any other
suggestions at all?
