Problem with trying to display bullets

I have a large number of Word documents which I need to transfer to Access
database. These documents have many bulleted lists. When I import them the
bulleted lists show in reports as a "dot then a square", and in web pages as
a "dot then a tab space" but text flowing onto the next line does not
recognize the indenting.

What I want is to be able to format as an HTML unordered list. I have also
tried HTML but the tags display in Access as text.

Is there aby way to show bullets correctly in Access???.

p.s. on checking the Access help it says to highlight the text in design
view and click the bullet button. Just 2 problems there - 1, the text is
generated from a database, and 2, I have tried everything and cannot seem to
make the button enabled.

Thanks for the info and the direction I should look.

Unfortunately The Steohan Lebans control will not install for me. Does
anyone else have a link to a similar control?

Hi Douglas,

I finally got the item to load. Have now tried it out but I cannot use it.
The reasons are; firstly I need to have a continuous form setup and this
can't be done with and ActiveX control, secondly I don't want to have to
format all the documents as RTF because I won't have control or access to the
vast majority of docs and also because the rtf markup displays when the page
is displayed in HTML.

I am resigned to letting Access malform the bullets in Access - it will be
"close enough" for display purposes, then use a regular expression to convert
to <li> in HTML. At least I can justify this to my client as a limitation of
Access.

Thanks for your help, it really assisted my problem solving of this vexing
issue.
