Problem with trust relationship

When I try establish trust relationship between Stand
Alone Server (ip:172.19.0.18) and DC (ip:172.18.99.17)
appear that error: "Failed trust relationship between
workstation and server" Any idea? When I make ping it´s
responding in twicw directions.

Luis,

Can you tell us the steps that you have taken already?
Is the "stand alone Server" a DC in a different domain or
a member server in the same domain ( just on a different
subnet/site )?

Also, I assume that both servers are running WIN2000?
Furthermore, I assume that you have a properly written
LMHOST file and / or WINS running in both locations and
that they are talking to each other?

Or, are you talking about the secure channel between the
stand alone server and the DC? If this is the case, then
try resetting the computer account. This will re-
establish the secure channel between the two. If that
does not work take a look at NETDOM.

Since I am here - I always suggest that everyone install
the Support Tools on all of their WIN2000 Servers. The
Support Tools are located in two locations: on the
WIN2000 Server CD ( in the Support \ Tools folder ) and
on the WIN2000 Service Pack CD ( in the Support \ Tools
folder ). I would suggest that you use the Service Pack
CD if possible.

Both running W2000 and are the same domain. I don´t talk
about secure channel. In stand alone server not running
WINS only in DC
