problem with track changes

Hello. On some documents, when they are opened the 'track changes' dialogues
are open. I have tried accepting the changes and saving the file, but when
it re-opens, the track changes are still showing. I have to manually open
the 'view mark-up' and turn it off. Is there a way to either disable this
feature or keep it from appearing when documents are opened? I'd like to be
able to access the feature if I want it, but I don't want it to automatically
appear when a document is opened. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you've accepted all of the changes, it sounds like it's simply a matter
of turning tracking off. This can be done by clicking (or double-clicking,
depending on the version of Word) the appropriate too on Word's status bar,
or pressing Ctrl+Shift+E to toggle tracking off. Simply turning off the
display of markup isn't enough. You would need to turn tracking off.

If this isn't sufficient... what version of Word are you using? Are you
certain that you've accepted ALL changes and comments, and that there aren't
more changes lingering in a header, footer, or footnote?

Thank you Herb - I think you've hit the nail on the head! It appears that we
weren't accepting 'all' changes. I should have known it would be an easy
fix. Thanks again!
