problem with textbox in report's page header

I am using a rich text field (rtf2) in my reports detail and when I put a
textbox in my report's page header the formatting of the text in my detail
section goes crazy. In better words the space between all the characters
change without any obvious pattern.

any Idea how I can get around this?

I found a way around it. I created a subreport and left it in the page header
and the problem went away
